Lucy Hope, aka The Chanteuse has unearthed some forgotten lyrical classics written by French novelist Patrick Modiano (Nobel Prize Winner, 2014) in her album 'The Chanteuse Sings Modiano.'
Hope's recordings reignite the flame lit by renowned French artists of the late 60's and early 70's such as Francois Hardy and Serge Gainsbourg, who gave the Yé-yé genre worldwide status.
Expect a slick fusion of French avant-garde pop, gypsey jazz and psychedelia as Hope brings her wears to the Frederiks stage. It promises to be a perfect accompaniment to a bottle of red as she transports us through the decades a la Francaise.
As always it's FREE ENTRY and we'll be hosting our open jazz jam after the show.
